The other/the others

1- I did not mind and nor did the others.

2- Kunde man lika gärna skriva, "I did not mind and nor did the other people." ? Så (the others) är istället för att skriva (the other people.?) Man skriver bara the "others" så betyder det "de andra"?

Ja, "the other people" är samma sak som "the others" :) Bokstaven S i "the others" kan bytas ut mot vilka "dom andra" är.
